Who Am I?
I've been involved in music throughout my life. I started playing the violin at the age of 4 and then spent a good 10 years honing my skills primarily on the harp. My passion for music has only grown stronger over the years, and I'm truly enthusiastic about sharing my talent and the joy of music with others. During my musical journey, I was a part of MYSO for three years, which provided me with valuable orchestral experience. I even had the opportunity to perform in Uihlein Hall with MYSO. I'm fortunate to receive guidance from Ann Lobotzke, the principal harpist of the MSO.
In 2018, I had the privilege of attending Sound Foundations, a three-week college-level course for musicians. This experience broadened my horizons as I delved into music theory, history, chorale training, and even acquired some music composition skills. Recently, I've embarked on a new journey by teaching beginner students and helping them grasp the fundamentals of the harp. I find great satisfaction in discovering and nurturing new talent, as well as performing at various gigs whenever the opportunity arises. My dedication lies in infusing joy and vibrancy into every event I'm a part of.

"Rebekah has successfully taught my 10-year-old daughter for three years now. She is a patient and kind teacher who focuses on the right technique and individual student improvement. My daughter has steadily progressed in her skills and enjoys Rebekah’s understanding attitude. She is a well-rounded teacher."
"I’ve known Rebekah for four years now. She has been an amazing musician the entire time I’ve known her. She plays not because she has to but because it’s a joy for her to play and express herself with music. She chose to teach others while also balancing private work and three orchestras at one point because she loved what she did. Being able to play a duet with her for her graduation ceremony meant a lot to me because I watched her evolve the previous three before, and now see how she’s truly blossomed in music.”
"Rebekah was so helpful from the very beginning - helping us every step of the way as we searched for our first harp and music stand. We were clueless and she guided us and eagerly answered all of our questions. During lessons, she's very patient and encouraging. Cecilia always looks forward to her lessons and although she's only been playing for a few months, we've already seen a lot of progress. We're so happy to have found Rebekah!”
